Welcome to No Ordinary Wisdom! We are two friends sharing life's journey.  Hang out with us, share a few giggles, life hacks, and ordinary moments which hopefully remind you that normal is more than o.k.

cups of coffee it takes us to keep the train rolling

Hey, it's Sarah! I’m a single mom, rolling through life while trying to navigate the weird hormones of my 40’s and teenagers at the same time. I feel like if we don’t laugh, we will cry, so laugh we must (and cry occasionally). My girls range from age 12 to 20 but my favorite child is my dog, Tilly. I work in accounting (God’s sense of humor) and I’m still trying to figure out what my hobbies are the rest of the time. You can often find me hanging out in someone's kitchen with my friends, sipping a good glass of wine but as an enneagram 9, pajama hour is sacred and generally shouldn’t be messed with. I think sharing life's journey with each other is as therapeutic as a therapist sometimes and it is our hope that this little space on the internet feels that way to you.

Hi! My name is Kimberly. I am 37 years old, married to Matt and we have 4 baby girls ages 7, 5, 3, and 1, and a 7 year old black lab named Banjo. Occupations include wife, mom, friend, and physical therapist. Hobbies include giggling, cooking, washing and folding clothes, vacuuming, grocery shopping, working out, walking, occasionally washing my hair, and giggling…did I mention that already? I love the idea of reading but it’s not my season right now. I love structure, routine, and order. Having those things brings me peace and allows me to have more fun and enjoy an adventure. I am in the throws of the little years and learning the art of self reflection as we raise our baby girls. My happy place is my home but my adventurous husband keeps me guessing with something to do and somewhere to go.

01.

Life is better with friends.

We have walked some of life's darkest moments together and shared some of life's greatest joys.  It is one of the greatest gifts to share these journies with each other.

02.

The best parts of life are in the ordinary

Our lives are made up of a million ordinary moments.  In our really loud and flashy world, don't forget thats where the goodness lies.

03.

Hearty breakfasts are essential

We are kids of the 80's/90's.  Somehow we survived the sugar cereal and toaster strudels or no breakfast at all situation.  But we are here to remind you to eat your breakfast and make it hearty because thats the  minutia of real self care.
