May day! May day! Happy first day of May! Time flies doesn’t it? This weeks HDHs are things that Sarah and I both have and love. When I was at her house recently and helping her in the kitchen, I noticed a few familiarities that I have used for the ages. We hope you enjoy 🙂

Gardenia scented candle by Z Candles: Sarah has been buying this candle for some time now but she gifted me this candle for helping with her surgery, and I can tell you it smells so amazing. I am not normally a floral scent person, but this smell is not overpowering by any means and truly truly smells like a gardenia bush right in your house 🙂

Strawberry Avocados Honey Be Me watch band: I have had the same original Apple watch band on my watch ever since I got my Apple watch for Mother’s Day 5 years ago. Just this past fall I found these cutsie watch bands thanks to Sarah, and of course they have my colors 😉 This watch band is the same silicone band as the Apple watch band, but it has honey bee charms on them as well as a pop of color down the middle of the band. Simple, cute, and elegant.

The Pan Scraper: I cannot live without this simple tool! I noticed Sarah had the same brown Pampered Chef one that I have. She and I both agree we go crazy when it gets misplaced. I use it daily to scrape out the cast iron pans as well as a casserole dish with food stuck on the sides. Small but mighty!

Your Grandma’s Pot Holder: Simply the best pot holders in our opinion. I opened Sarah’s drawer that holds the pot holders and surprise, she had the same ones I did. I don’t remember who made mine, but Sarah said she definitely made a couple of hers when she was little. Anybody else have these classics in their kitchen? Probably made a few of them at VBS over the summers. Maybe I’ll get my kids a kit and get to weaving!

Sweatshirt: I’m In My Menopause Era or I’m In my Perimenopause Era cropped sweatshirt. We have “matching” sweatshirts just for the heck of it. She is officially menopausal and I am very much in the perimenopausal state of being. If you missed our blog posts about the beginnings of these journeys check them out here and here. This sweatshirt is everything. Beyond soft, ligthweight, cozy, and cropped. Who knew a cropped sweatshirt would be so amazing?
